Being from a town near Matera, what they make at Pizzeria del Centro is more of a focaccia than a pizza. If I wanted a margherita pizza, I'd go to a pizzeria or order one for €6-7. At Pizzeria del Centro, it costs €14! Although, it must be said that this type of pizza is much thicker and heavier, which is precisely why it shouldn't be called a pizza! Also to justify the price. I was satisfied with half a "pizza," so the price is similar to that of a regular margherita. ”
